I would first like to introduce myself a little. A summary of my background is as follows:
Previously elected Trade Union Official. Nalgo / Unison, Warwickshire - West Midlands UK. Seven years Branch Secretary based at Warwick (1978 to 1985 ). Chair - Joint Union Committee, plus Chair / Secretary - many other National, Regional and local Committees over a period of thirty years plus. Chair Nuneaton and District Trades Council, Lead negotiator with Ministers including Ken Clarke MP, then Minister of Transport.
Elected Councillor, School Governor, Economic adviser. Senior/ Principle Manager, Professional Career and qualifications and gained a Masters Degree MSc (Econ) 1991 at Cardiff University, UK.Went to Ruskin College 1974- 1976. Chair, Head of Homes, Warwickshire County Council, UK- 1980/1984. Carer. Charity worker.

Still campaigning for a fairer society, peace and less greed. At least trying to do my bit. Happy and content within myself. Proud of my Children, who are now all adults and living independently. Recently Joined Voluntary Conservation group. Joined Walk for Health group in the North Warwickshire area - 2008. Enjoy being involved with Charities and working against prejudice. Also having fun, a laugh and a pint or two of real ale! Many fun jobs and hobbies over the years, including being a local DJ, playing local Football, Potholing and Motocross / Racing.
And because of my background in Economics, I hope to contribute to future debates on global capitalism and related matters in future blogs. So that is now done and dusted. Ivor Timson March 2011.
